KFOR soldiers stand guard at Jarinje border crossing between Serbia and Kosovo on July 29, 2011. Kosovo prime minister Hashim Thaci insisted Friday that Pristina would not back down in a trade row with Serbia that has sparked unrest and clashes in the tense north of the territory. Meanwhile NATO peacekeepers who moved in to stabilize the escalating crisis by manning two disputed border posts in the ethnic Serb-dominated north said that the situation is „calm but not secure“.
